Farmer's Markets - (morning @ Community Center 9-11:30am & afternoon @ Hitch Lot 4-7pm)
ES Redevelopment Corporation will consider Chapter 353 Tax Abatement application for project @ 115 W. Excelsior Street. Improvements will include a new roof, exterior paint, & an interior remodel to accommodate an artist or maker space. Estimated cost is $56,000, qualifies for 10 year 100% abatement.
Touch-a-Truck from 10am - 12 noon @ ESHS Pac Parking lot, Free, Food Trucks, a hands-on experience with trucks, a Zoo-Mobile, company cars, the Fire Department, Police, and more!
HHHW Mobile Collection Schedule from 8am - noon for Excelsior Springs, Lawson & Richmond @ the ES Public Works; member communities may attend any of the collection events/ proof of residency is required. . Accepted items include: automotive products, antifreeze, batteries, CFL light bulbs, fertilizers, flammables, fuels, hazardous cleaners, liquids, household cleaners, lawn & garden products, paint, pesticides, photographic chemicals, pool chemicals, solvents, thinners, used oil.

- Grant is being developed for upgrades at the Water Treatment Plant. Improvements will include upgrade electrical, replace roof, re-painting tower, replace filters, lime slaker; estimated cost $2.4M; grant will provide 75% of cost. Application due in October.
- One of the outside hangars at the airport has collapsed & will be demolished. The hangar cannot be rebuilt in the same location as it was too close to the runway.
