Dear Parents and Families,
We had another fantastic week on campus! This week, we proudly celebrated our amazing counselors for National School Counseling Week, recognizing their invaluable support for both students and staff on campus. This past weekend, 21 of our scholars participated in a UIL competition against several surrounding schools in the four content areas (math, science, reading/writing, social studies), earning 2nd place overall in 6th grade and 1st place in 7th grade! Congratulations to our students on this outstanding achievement! A special thank you to our dedicated UIL coaches—Ms. Anspaugh, Mr. Shelton, Mr. Wright, Mr. Supan, and Ms. Schaeper—for their hard work in preparing our scholars for success. Additionally, students took their reading and math assessments this week, demonstrating great effort in their testing groups. We wrapped up the week with an exciting Valentine's Dance, where students had a wonderful time celebrating together. Be sure to check out the amazing pictures below!
This week, 8th-grade students will continue Interim II testing for Science and Social Studies, along with makeup testing for any students who missed their math or reading assessments. These assessments are essential in identifying areas where your child may need additional support. Please help set them up for success by ensuring they:
✅ Get plenty of rest
✅ Eat a nutritious breakfast
✅ Bring a fully charged iPad and charger

Attendance Reminders
- Students arriving to class more than 15 minutes late will be marked absent. With classes lasting only 50 minutes, every instructional minute is crucial.
- Please encourage your student to arrive on time to maximize their learning opportunities.
- Ensure any doctor’s or parent notes are submitted promptly to update attendance records accurately.
Accessing Academic Progress
- Stay informed about your student’s progress by accessing Echo. If you need assistance setting up an Echo Observer account, please use the link provided before February 15th. Additional resources are available via the included link.
Streamlined Communication via Talking Points
- We are continuing to use Talking Points for efficient communication. Families who have not yet accessed the platform will receive individual notifications to stay up-to-date on information sent by the school.
