Calendar for the 24/25 School Year
The calendar for the 2025-2026 school year is now posted!
Please note that beginning in the 2025-26 school year, Northwest Community Schools will transition from a trimester schedule to a semester schedule. This change is being made to enhance academic continuity and improve financial efficiency while maintaining the integrity of all of our programs.
As always, please contact us at nw.media@nwschools.org, or submit an inquiry HERE with any questions or concerns you may have regarding this change for the 25/26 school year. More information and updates regarding the 25/26 school calendar will be published to the district's website.
Take the Northwest Community Schools 23g Impact Survey!
Give us your feedback! Take the Northwest Community Schools 23g Impact Survey linked HERE.
The 23g Grant, part of Michigan's "MI Kids Back on Track" program, provides money to schools to help students catch up on learning they may have missed through supporting tutoring programs, extra learning time during or after school, summer learning programs, and programs that prepare high school students for college or careers. Northwest was awarded this grant in the fall of 2024 and utilized this funding to support several programs throughout the district. As a result, and in compliance with the grant requirements, we are asking all students, families, and staff that were impacted by these programs to provide valuable feedback by completing the 23g Impact Survey.
NWCS 23g Programs:
- Extended learning time (summer school programming)
- Intensive individualized support (Attendance, Behavior, Content Interventions)
- Locally provided tutoring (before & after school tutoring)
- Career pathways (college tours & the Find Your Future Fair)
- Work based learning (10th Grade Job Shadow Experience)
