Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms connected to Bridgewater and beyond!! Moms are very special and deserve a day to be celebrated. Enjoy!!
Ag Day Allergies?
This year, Bridgewater is hosting an agriculture day featuring several animals. Students will be outside for much of the day. If your children have any animal or other relevant outdoor allergies, please send Nurse Lucy an email larchibald@northfieldschools.org
Final Week of Library Book Checkout
The week of May 13 is our last week of book checkout. All books are due May 23. The following week we will have daily prize drawings for those students who have all their books returned and/or fines paid. Please help your student look at home for any Bridgewater library books. Thank you!!
Outside Beverages
It has always been our practice to allow water bottles with screw tops as a beverage in school. However, we have seen an increase particularly in coffee beverages coming in to school with students. Please have your children finish other drinks before entering the building. Many of these drinks violate our school's wellness policy, and spilled drinks that contain sugar create quite the mess for our custodians to clean up! Also, students may not bring these beverages to their friends as parents are not on the grounds to give permission for the consumption of outside food/drink. Thank you in advance for helping us in this matter!
Music Notes from Mrs. Hummel:
Congratulations to our band and choir students on a wonderful concert on May 9.
We are so proud of you!!!
Last night I forgot to mention all of the CHOIR events this year:
*singing the National Anthem at our Veterans' Day assembly
*singing the National Anthem at a NHS girls' basketball game
*leading our "Bridgewater Bears" song during a school assembly
*performing solos and small group songs during lunch time (December)
*participating in the district choral festival with 500 singers! (February)
All of these events were so much fun, but I know last night was our most special concert for our singers - this was the one and only concert we had all year for parents/families to attend.
Thank-You for making sure your singers and instrumentalists were there to share their music!
Thank-You for encouraging your child to participate in MUSIC ensembles (band/choir/orchestra) this year!!!
