CAPS has a new website, app, and alert system. We have a system-wide test emergency alert scheduled for September 18th at 4:30 PM. If you do not get a test text, phone call AND email, please contact your child's/children's building to update emergency contact information.

This information helps us with decisions surrounding programming, policies, and procedures. We want to know how we are doing and value your honest feedback. Please pay specific attention to questions regarding our Winter Break in February- NEW this year.

• It is important to understand that safety is a shared responsibility of students, families, and the community. If you have information or concerns about safety, please report it immediately to the school or OK2SAY (anonymous tip line.)
• Letter from Law enforcement agencies to families (see below)

• Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 19th. See the website for building times.
  
• If you have not already completed the Family Household Survey, please complete it ASAP. Although we are providing free breakfast and lunch for ALL students, our grant funding depends on accurate information for qualifying families. The household survey is required for continued funding and additional grant opportunities.
• We are seeking parent representatives for all buildings to serve on the District Continuous Improvement Committee. This committee is charged with district goal-setting, monitoring, and decision-making. If you are interested, please reach out to jennifer.brown@cadillacschools.org.

CAPS is invested in providing students with excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. CAPS CREW is an arm of this mission. CREW includes enrichment programming and opportunities for students in grades 3-8. Please see upcoming opportunities and links to registration to the right. New programs are posted regularly, so please check our website for new opportunities.

Does your student need help in making informed education and career decisions? Help them by checking out the recently updated Pathfinder, Michigan’s online career exploration tool that allows users to explore in-demand careers and the degrees or credentials needed to pursue them. Pathfinder.MiTalent.org – come with your student and check out its recent enhancements; including new filter features when exploring jobs, fields, and schools and the ability to choose multiple paths and compare them with each other. Cadillac Wexford Public Library is offering a fun, fall reading incentive for all students in grades K-8 called Dragons and Friends. Check out more information HERE!
