Another wonderful week this week with plenty happening including our Winter Carnival teams acquitting themselves so well yesterday - what a day! Many parents were there too, it was great to see your support! Thank you for coming.

Today assembly led by our Year One Gang was just beautiful! Eager, enthusiastic, fun, engaged - it was a privilege to be there to celebrate with them. Many children received Merit Awards, to them more power to you, these are precious and so well deserved. And to so many of you attending, in what appears to be record numbers, we love seeing you there. Thanks for coming.

Congratulations Isla Bradley!

Isla Bradley in Pre-Primary Catherine shone in the Competition conducted by the Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc. On Saturday Isla was delighted to receive her award for the Pre-Primary level from the Italian Consul in Perth, Sergio Nicolaci, his wife Nicole Nicolaci and the Vice-Italian Consul Emilio Sessa. Isla a fabulous result! To our Specialist teacher of Italian, Signora Peccia, thank you for making these opportunities available to our children. Amazing!

Craig Silvey Award for Young Writers

The City of Subiaco proudly presents the 2024 Craig Silvey Award for Young Writers. This award recognises and celebrates the talent and potential of WA's young writers from Year One to Year Twelve.

The City of Subiaco has been running an annual award for young writers for the past 30 years with 2024 marking the second year of the award’s new patron, Craig Silvey.

Aspiring young writers are encouraged to start planning – or plotting – their entry with innovation, creativity and originality front of mind.

Entries open: Friday 19 July 2024
Entries close: Monday 12 August 2024

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in to access reports

It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.

To do this you need to go to the following site:

or follow the link from our school website to “SEQTA Engage - parents” and use your username and password credentials that you used previously.

New Families and PP parents have been sent an email this week inviting them to set up a username and password to SEQTA Engage. You will have 7 days to set up your username and password.

If you have remembered your username but have forgotten your password, please click on the Forgot your password? link and an immediate email will be sent to you. The email will expire within one hour, so please action this immediately.

If you forgotten both of these, then please contact the school and we can remind you of your username or re-send a link.

Reports will be released on SEQTA on Wednesday 26th June at 3pm.

Exciting times in the library with four students remaining in the Senior Chess Tournament, ready to play off in the Grand Final next week! Juniors (years 1, 2 and 3) can now sign up for chess to start in Term Three.

Our first group of Year Five book clubbers will finish next week with a celebration over recess time, and the next group will commence in Term Three. Students are encouraged to keep an eye on the library whiteboard for all news and information.

The amazing work of our local St Vincent de Paul has been our focus in library, and everyone now knows where the clothes go that you put in your local bin, we have two in our Church carpark. Did you know there is a big warehouse in Canningvale where the clothes are sorted? Also, many of our students have family members who volunteer at our local Vinnies, whose pantry we help to fill each term. Thank you to these amazing people who make such a difference to our community and welcome us each term to be a part of this amazing organisation.

Thanks to our HR community for the incredible donations, you brought in for our Term Two Vinnies drive. The Year Six Christian Service group did an amazing job of sorting the donations and delivering them to the Vinnies today.

Huge thanks also to Miss Rees and her Year Six Pastoral Care group for organising the fabulous Talent Show today! Holy Rosary definitely has talent, and it was a fun way to spend time as a school community on a Friday.

Year 2C has now completed Aussie Optimisms “Feeling and Friends” program and have brought home their workbooks and certificates to show their families. Year 2D will start in week 2, Term Three. The second group of Year Four “Seasons for Growth’ is underway. Huge congratulations to SFG Group “Girl Power” who graduated last week. You are superstars!
