High School Weekly Update
03/28/25
Principal Thoughts
Spring has officially arrived, bringing with it warmer temperatures, longer days, and the joyful anticipation of summer break just around the corner. While we enjoy this beautiful season, please remember the importance of dressing appropriately for school, adhering to our dress code to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment. With just two months remaining in the school year, let's renew our commitment to academic excellence. The way we approach these final weeks speaks volumes about our character—true growth and maturity mean finishing strong and leaving no task incomplete. Continue giving your best effort each day, and let’s close the year with pride and accomplishment.
We also want to wish safe travels to our juniors, seniors, and chaperones who will embark on their exciting trips next week. Students, please remember that you represent our school and its values wherever you go, and school guidelines remain in effect during these experiences. Enjoy every moment, create wonderful memories, and continue making us proud!

Gray Stone Hosts Parent Event
This past Wednesday, our counselor, Mr. Morgan, hosted an informational session for families interested in dual enrollment and the Career and Promise Program (CCP). This program provides students with the opportunity to earn college credits—potentially leading to an Associate's Degree—while still in high school. If you weren't able to attend but would like more information, please click here.
Health Club Hosts Pickleball Tournament
The GS Health Club sponsored a Pickleball tournament on Wednesday. Eighteen teams competed in the event, with Cliffton Hatley and Zach Misenheimer prevailing in a hard fought final match against Matthew Burleson and Walker Bullard.
Knight of the Week
This week's Knight of the Week is Amelia Barney. One of Amelia's teachers wrote, "Amelia took the initiative to enter the Storytellers of Tomorrow contest and wrote an incredible nonfiction piece, winning first place! She is multitalented, incredibly creative, and I can't wait to see what she's able to do going forward."
Congratulations, Amelia!
