MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Greetings Davenport Families!

We are just four days away from summer break, and what a year it has been! Our students have truly SOARed through 2023-2024, achieving so much along the way. We are incredibly proud of all our students as they advance to the next level of their education. A special farewell and good luck to our 3rd graders as they prepare to move on to Miller School. We will miss each one of them!

Thank you to our families for your support of the students, teachers, and staff throughout the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking forward to an even greater year in 2024-2025!

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Aerospace-Engineering-STEAM

Mr. Cohen's 2nd and 3rd grade students were very attentive in their computer classes:

learning about aviation and an introduction to the theory of flight,
discovering how the forces of thrust, lift, gravity, drag and weight are necessary for flight by making their own paper helicopters, and
testing out their creations by flying them in class.

Ms. Raske's 1st grade students are having fun with a balloon pop for the last eight days of school. Monday's theme was "pick your own seat".

Ms. Gevers' students certainly enjoyed celebrating Flay Day with their fruit cups!

Lip Sync Highlights

The energy was high, and the participants' talent spot-on as both Davenport staff and students performed to their favorite songs during our Annual Lip Sync Family Night last Thursday!
