Any student who does not have a completed Annual Update:
may not be enrolled in a class for the 24/25 school year
may not receive a schedule
and may not be able to participate in school business days in August.
It is imperative that all families complete the Annual Family Update as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your child's enrollment for next school year.

SEL Update
We have officially gone over all 7 character strengths from the book Thrivers, by Dr. Michele Borba, in our school-wide morning meetings. “Each character strength improves a child’s thriving potential as well as academic performance.”
For the month of May we will review the 7 traits of Self-confidence, Empathy, Self-Control, Integrity, Curiosity, Perseverance and Optimism. We will have students reflect on these traits and think about how they have grown this school year and how they can continue to grow these traits in the future.
Additionally, as our older students start CAASPP testing we will offer tips and tricks for test taking and test- anxiety coping strategies.
You can help your kids during the testing period by helping make sure they get a good night’s sleep and eat a nutritious breakfast. If your child experiences test-anxiety there are a few things you can practice with them at home including:
Taking Deep breaths to calm the mind.
Practice positive affirmations such as, “I can do hard things.” “I will get through this.” “I will do my best and forget the rest.”
Remind them that their best is always good enough and that it’s ok to not know all the answers.
CHILD NUTRITION
Free Breakfast
Breakfast will be offered for free to children before school or on their recess.
School lunch is free!
All students are able to receive a free hot lunch, please make sure your child knows whether they have brought a lunch or if they need to get one from our cafeteria.
