Fronts
Fronts are where two air masses meet and create weather. The four types of fronts are Cold fronts, Warm fronts, Stationary fronts, Occluded fronts.
Cold Fronts
A cold front is where cold air catches up with warm air and pushes it upwards causing thunderstorms and cooling down the areas it passes.
Warm Fronts
Warm fronts are where a warm air mass catches up with a cold air mass and climbs over it causing only light rain or snow and warming up the area it passes by.
Stationary Fronts
A stationary front is where a cold air mass and a warm air mass meet and neither can decide who's going to "move over". This cause rain for many day.
Occluded Fronts
An occluded front is where two cold air mass push a warm air mass up causing different amounts of rain for different amounts for time.
