My name is Susan O'Neill, and I am your child's homeroom teacher for the upcoming year. I loved meeting so many of you last night for Meet the Teacher and Parent Orientation. I hope everyone is not overwhelmed with all the information we provided.

If you were unable to attend, don't worry! On the first day of school, I will send home a parent packet that covers all of the information you need to get started.

I didn't talk much about myself last night, so here's a short bio: This year will be my 29th year teaching. I just completed year 22 as a fourth grade teacher, but a LONG time ago, I taught third grade for 5 years and second grade for one year. I taught for 10 years in Bryan ISD, one year at Lake Travis ISD (near Austin), and I have taught at Rock Prairie for 17 years.

My husband's name is Kevin. My daughter Kristin is a sophomore at Texas A&M, and my son Austin is a sophomore at College Station High School. I have a house full of pets-- I love animals! My three dogs and two cats will stay at home, but I frequently bring my parrotlet named Maddie to school. She has been a class pet for 8 years now.
