Parent Meeting for 10th Grade Students-Thursday, March 27th
Attention 10th Grade Parents! 📣
Demopolis High School invites you to an important parent meeting on Thursday, March 27th at 6:00 p.m., in the DHS Library to learn about the new "Option B" Diploma Pathway recently approved by the Alabama State Board of Education (Act #2024-126). This new diploma option was established in December 2024 and focuses on workforce readiness, offering students a flexible path to graduation.
What is Option B?
Option B is designed for students aiming to enter the workforce immediately after high school or pursue technical training. It requires fewer math and science credits compared to the traditional diploma but emphasizes Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. This pathway ensures students are equipped with hands-on skills and knowledge that align with today’s job market.
As we begin the registration process for the 2025-26 school year, it’s crucial to understand your student’s options to ensure they are on the right path. Join us for this informational meeting to learn more and ask questions!
We look forward to seeing you there!
