HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT YOUR STUDENT? Please log in to Infinite Campus to discuss grades and assignments with your student often. Become an observer in Canvas to see what assignments your student has been assigned. Attendance is also very important. Please check the academic calendar to ensure that your child is at school (as long as they are healthy enough to attend). There are links below to assist you if needed.

Student Attendance & Tardy Notifications

As of 11/4/24, DMS started a school-wide initiative to support student attendance and on-time arrival to class. Tuesday, 11/5/24, parents/guardians and students will receive email notifications on period tardies. Students also received a paper notification/warning in class.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to sign up for Infinite Campus alerts for attendance and assignments. Directions here.

The DMS Tardy policy is:

1. 5 tardies to the same class - 1 demerit issued

2. 10 tardies to the same class - 1 additional demerit issued

3. 15 tardies to the same class - 1 additional demerit issued and detention assigned

Students with 12 or more demerits are not eligible for end of year grade-level events.

Community Canned Food Drive Ends Thursday

Advisement Class Challenge - PRIZE = Root Beer Float Party!

If your Advisement class turns in the most non-perishable items before 11/14, the winning Advisement class will earn a root beer float party! See flyer for item descriptions.
