Term 2 Week 10
30 June 2023
And its term break time again!
I am always amazed at how quickly the terms fly by in a year. It is hard to believe we are back at a term break!
When I look back on the term though, with all the amazing opportunities our akonga have had it is easy to see why the time has flown. At Marlborough our Vision is Learning through Living. We take this quite seriously and attempt to get all of our akonga participating in activities and learning that will extend their abilities, These include learning inside and outside of the classroom. For example Rooms 1 and 2 had a fantastic opportunity to attend Millennium Institute last week for a day of Rock Climbing, Team Building, Kayaking and Water Safety Skills. Our Year 1's attended Auckland Art Gallery, our Year 4/5's had a trip to Arataki where they learned about forest life and tree planting.
One of our biggest and most successful activities this term surely has to be the Matariki Celebrations this week. What an awesome team we have that made these possible. Many thanks to all those that participated for helping us Learn through Living.
Our last big shout out of the Term has to go to our Friends of the School - The Matariki Disco last week Friday was EPIC! It was wonderful to see all the parents dancing away with their tamariki, and all our tamariki having such a fabulous night - THANK YOU FOS!
Reports will be emailed out on Tuesday. Please check your spam/junk mailbox if you haven't received it by Wednesday.
