GET TO KNOW YOUR SALEMWOOD STAFF
Each month I'd like to spot-light Salemwood Staff to help our community members get connected. This month, I am happy to introduce our School Social Workers and School Counselor. They work incredible hard to support the academic and social emotional needs of our students.
DIANE DMYTRYK, LICSW, Gr 6-8
I have been a social worker in the middle school since Salemwood opened in Sept.1999.I love this community and treasure the close connections I have made with students and families through the years. I retired in June 2021, but thanks to Ms. Van, I am back at Salemwood three days a week this school year. I am happy to be back to help support our amazing students and school staff especially after the difficult times experienced by so many since March 2020.
Prior to coming to Malden, I worked as an outpatient therapist at Eliot Mental Health Center. I have a Masters in Social Work with a CAGS in Child and Adolescent Treatment.
When I am not working , I love to spend time with my family and friends, especially in nature and go for long walks with my two dogs.
