Hello Students and Families!

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

I have moved into the burrow and could not be happier. I have spent my first few weeks reconnecting with staff and the PTA. We have been working on plans to continue to make Patterson the best place to be!

There has been alot of work going on in the burrow including:

-New whiteboards to replace chalkboards in the classrooms.

-New gym floor has been put in and it looks amazing! The lines are still being painted on.

-New phones have been installed.

-Cameras and alarms have been installed and updated to enhance school safety. This was a district wide project.

Our summer hours continue for the next few weeks:

Monday-Thursdays 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Beginning today, parent communication will continue to be sent out on Friday afternoon/evening.

In next week's newsletter, you will be provided with all the information regarding the first day of school, school hours, arrival/dismissal procedures, and lunch/recess times.

I look forward to seeing you all soon, but for now, keep enjoying summer!

As long as your child is fully registered, parents/guardians may view their child's homeroom teacher in ParentVue starting August 12th after 4:00pm. As a reminder, you will need your username and password. Your username is your personal email that you entered when setting up your account. Your password is what you created when setting up your ParentVue account. If you need any assistance with logging into ParentVue please contact the Patterson office at #630-428-6500.

If you are a brand new family to Patterson and have students entering Grades 1st-5th, you are invited to the New Family Orientation with the principal and student service coordinator. Come learn about a day in the life of a Patterson student and take a tour of the building. Children are welcome to join you. If you cannot make this day/time, no worries, you will also be able to attend the Meet & Greet with your child's teacher on Aug. 19th. Kindergarten families will all have orientation on August 19th, so there is no need to attend this one.

Know of anyone interested in becoming a lunchroom supervisor? Patterson is looking for two lunchroom supervisors from 10:45-2:00pm daily. Contact Michelle Hebenstreit for more information.

Let’s celebrate the beginning of school! After you see your new classroom and meet your teacher, please stop by the blacktop behind Patterson between 2:30pm-3:45pm for a Popsicle provided by the Patterson PTA!

Support Patterson by becoming a PTA member or renewing your membership for the 2024-2025 school year! Joining the PTA is a great way to support the many enrichment activities at Patterson. The PTA provides School and Teacher Support, School Programs, Events and Fundraising throughout the year. When you join the PTA, you have the opportunity to volunteer for PTA sponsored school activities, but you are not obligated to attend meetings, events or volunteer. All 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students will need a Patterson Student Assignment Notebook! Assignment Notebooks are $6 and can be purchased via Givebacks at https://pattersonpta.givebacks.com/store?limit=21&live=true or click the blue link below. Student Assignment Notebooks will be distributed to students at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
