June 2024
The LISD RAPPort
LISD Families,
I’ve had a great time visiting several of our summer programs over the last week and witnessing the amazing work being done with student learning. I want to give a shoutout to our facilities team, who are still hard at work clearing out the numerous trees that fell during the storms a few weeks ago. Many departments are working tirelessly to ensure we're ready for the upcoming school year, and I truly appreciate their dedication.
I think it is important for all of us to take pride in the Class of 2024 - 4,170 graduates from our high schools walked across the stage this year! This achievement is a testament to the hard work that starts from PreK and continues through Grade 12, with everyone in our organization playing a crucial role. Congratulations to the class of 2024, and congratulations to each of YOU for the role you played in their success.
This newsletter is full of important information, including updates on bond projects and summer resources available to LISD families. I hope each of you is having a great summer, and I look forward to seeing students back on campus in August!
Dr. Lori Rapp, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
