REAMS Winter Growth SOL Letter for grades 3-5.

We want to hear about your experience with your child’s education. We invite you to complete the CCPS school climate survey. This voluntary survey asks about topics such as school safety, the school environment, and your child’s engagement in school, among others. Your responses will help both to identify strengths and to improve the climate of your child’s school.

The survey contains approximately 30 questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete. You can take the survey by clicking this link. You will be asked to enter your child’s CCPS student ID number, which will allow us to associate your responses with the school they attend. You may complete the survey once for each of your children attending a CCPS school.

All of your responses are confidential. The only people able to see identifying information are members of the CCPS Office of Research and Evaluation, and results will only be reported as group responses.

The survey is completely voluntary, and you may skip any questions you do not wish to answer. You may also select the “I Don’t Know” response, where appropriate. Please submit your responses by December 13, 2024.

This week students will have the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts at the PTA sponsored Penguin Patch.

• Teachers have signed up for specific dates and times---check with your child's teacher
• "Open" shopping times will be available daily for students who were absent or forget money on their designated shopping day

• An informational flyer was sent home with students on Friday

Free online tutoring services will be available for students in grades 3-12 beginning Oct. 1, 2024, via Stride Tutoring. To provide this service, Chesterfield County Public Schools is using funds available through the Virginia Department of Education’s All-In initiative as well as other funding sources. Free tutoring for students through Stride will be available to students as long as funds are available.

Students can reserve time (helpful directions) for online video meetings with tutors licensed in subject areas in which they need additional support. Students and families select a tutor based on expertise and availability to fit their schedule, with tutoring available in the evenings and on weekends. Students do not need a teacher referral to schedule a tutoring session.

There is no limit to the number of tutoring sessions at this time. Information is available at oneccps.org/tutors.
