4th Grade Wax Museum
Positive Leaders
Dear Parents,
We are really excited about our Wax Museum! Below is a "weekly focus" to use as we get ready for our big day! The kids know that they may get finished with something earlier than planned and would then move ahead. This is just an outline/plan. Please print and complete the "Wax Museum Volunteers" form below (or send back in the one that was sent home on Monday, Nov. 2nd) if you are able to come in and help on the days leading up to December 2nd.
We can’t wait to watch all of the performances & see the students transformed into their positive leader. We’re excited to be able to offer an evening performance so many family members are able to attend. Please invite grandparents, aunt, uncles, etc., to join us on Wednesday, December 2nd at 5:30. We will give you an RSVP form at Parent-Teacher conferences in November. We do understand, however, that there may be unavoidable conflicts. Please let us know if you have a conflict so we can arrange a time during school for your child to present to the 3rd graders.
Also, many students will need a small table (TV trays work great!) to set props on during their Wax Museum performance. Please ask your child if this is something he/she will need so it can be brought to school by Monday, November 30th. We would greatly appreciate extras for students to borrow!! Please label with your name.
As you and your child begin to search for the perfect performance attire, please keep these suggestions in mind.
· “Advertise” to your friends on social media. Many people may have the perfect addition for your child to borrow.
· These costumes don’t have to be professionally made or even cost any money. Dig into your closets. You may find exactly what you are looking for in Grandma or Grandpa’s closet!
· Wanting to purchase something? Visit Goodwill, Halloween stores (they may have a wig that “fits” your child’s vision at a discounted price this week), etc.
· We have some things at Morrish that can be borrowed.
o science props for those that chose a scientist as their positive leader
o 1700s clothing for those that chose a leader from colonial times
o school items (I Pads, pencils, books, etc.)
Thank you,
