Welcome Back Smilers!

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! We are so excited to welcome our Smilers back. As we get ready for the school year, we wanted to share information about the start of school. We look forward to supporting our students as they enjoy new experiences and learn. One of our core beliefs at Pineville is that every child should have an opportunity to be happy and successful. The most important thing that we can ask from each of our parents is that students arrive on time and attend school when healthy. We pride ourselves on being a neighborhood school that is built on a positive and supportive staff and community. We look forward to a great school year and know that this is going to be one of our best yet.

Parent Learning Session: 5-6 Families have the choice of attending a number of learning sessions

Technology and Children: Led by Bea Moise- Located in Media Center
The Whole Child: Led by our Student Support Team-Located in B203
Financial Literacy: Led by CommonWealthCLT-Located in A126
Feedback Session: Led by Mr. French-Located in B117

4:15-5: Students with last names from A-L
6-7: Students with last names from M-Z

Information tables will be set up in the gym to answer questions about after school programs and transportation.

Hungry Howie's will be available for purchase in our front parking lot.

First Day of School Information

August 28th

Students should arrive at school from 7:20 to 7:50.
Students are dismissed at 3:00

Kindergarten Staggered Entry

August 28th: Kindergarten students with the last name A-G
August 29th-Kindergarten students with the last name H-N
August 30st-Kindergarten students with the last name O-Z
August 31st-Kindergarten students only come to Open House at 4:30.
All kindergarten students will attend on September 1st.

Transportation

If you have not received transportation information yet and want to ride the bus, please go to the CMS transportation website for more information.
If your child is riding the bus to another location other than home, please go ahead and fill out the “alternate request stop” under transportation on the CMS Website. This will help to ensure there is a stop designated for your child. If you need help requesting another stop, please feel free to call the school for assistance.

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch are free for all students this year.
Breakfast is served from 7:20 until 7:50.
