Canaan Middle School Update
March 22nd, 2024
Principal Corner
Canaan Middle School Families,
We're excited to announce that we have officially entered the last nine weeks of the school year! We capped off the previous quarter with a couple of fantastic events, namely the CMS Talent Show and our spring STEM day for all 5th and 6th graders. It was wonderful to see our students showcasing their talents and engaging in hands-on STEM activities.
As we move into April and May, it's important to note that the Ohio State Tests are approaching. Below, you'll find the dates for when your student will be testing. We kindly remind parents and guardians to ensure that students get adequate sleep and a nutritious breakfast on their testing days. Additionally, it's crucial that students approach these assessments with a positive mindset and without undue stress. We simply ask that they give their best efforts.
Here are the testing dates for your reference:

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We're here to support you and your student every step of the way.

Talking Points
We are excited to share that our staff members will be using a safe and easy to
use two way communication tool called TalkingPoints to communicate with
families. Families have three easy ways to use TalkingPoints to communicate
with their children’s teachers for free! You can use text message, download the
app or use it on the web at https://talkingpts.org/families/. Once you log in to
