i-Ready Testing
The fall diagnostic information will be critical to help inform our instruction and serve our students well. To do this successfully, all of us need to make this a priority to ensure we get reliable data from our students.
When are we taking the iReady Diagnostic test?
Over the next three weeks, we will administer the Reading and Math i-Ready tests.
Hybrid students will take the assessments at school on face-to-face days only.
VLA students will take the assessments at home:
- Grades K-2, families will proctor the assessment.
- Grades 3-4, the VLA teacher will proctor the assessment through Google Meet.
Why are we taking the iReady Diagnostic test?
The purpose of the Diagnostic is not to give your student a score or grade, but instead to determine how best to support your student’s learning. i-Ready is an adaptive assessment that adjusts each question based on your child’s answer to the previous question. Some questions will be difficult, some easy, while others will be just right. The questioning is designed for teachers to find out what your child knows right now and what skills they will need. Note: i-Ready will not be used for gifted identification purposes in the VLA.
Attendance on Virtual Learning Days
Please see the following video and/or instructions on how to do attendance on virtual learning days.
Device Advice
LOGIN TIP: First, sign into the ClassLink app, then within ClassLink, log into the SeeSaw app. SeeSaw is where you will find your student's assignments and how you can message your student's teacher.
Student's Device Username = *Student's Email Address
*Student's Email Address = (student's first name)_(student's last name)(last three digits of student's ID number)@students.plsd.us
- For example, if a student named John Doe has a student ID number of 123456, his email address and device username would be john_doe456@students.plsd.us
Student's Device Password = (six-digit student ID number)00
- In the above John Doe email example, that student's device password would be 12345600.
In-Person Tech Support Sign Up Technology Team will hold repair days every Wednesday throughout the school year from 9:00–11:30am & 1:00-3:30pm at the District Office (90 N East Street)

Check out more information from the District or step-by-step instructions on how to get your forms updated in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
If you are having problems logging in to the portal or if you forgot your password, please submit an Infinite Campus Help Desk Ticket and a member of the Pickerington Schools' Technology Department will be able to assist you via email or phone.
Required Online School Fees
Grade-specific school fees may be paid online by logging into Infinite Campus.
Families who are financially unable to pay for necessary materials should refer to Board Policy 6152.01 regarding fee waivers. The Free and Reduced Meals/Fees Application will be available on the Food Services page.
The Technology Protection Fee for students one-to-one technologies. It costs $30 for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade and $40 for grades 6th through 12th annually.
This is an optional fee but highly recommended as students will be taking their technologies home with them for online learning.
Once school fees are assigned, the Treasurer’s Office will send an email alerting parents of activities on a student’s account.
