Thomas Families,

It was so nice to see students and families that were able to make it to Meet the Teacher today! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to come to Thomas. There was a buzz of excitement in the building!

You may have noticed that we had a long line at the Bus table. We recognize that there were some glitches with transportation; please double-check your child’s bus time and stop on Infinite Campus. With tomorrow being the first day of school, we expect some routes to be running a little late.

When your child arrives at school tomorrow at 9:00, we will have plenty of staff members at the front entrance greeting them and helping them get to their classrooms. They will be in good hands!

Teachers will host Curriculum Night in their classrooms on Wednesday, August 21. At 5:15, teachers in grades K - 2 will present. At 6:15, grades 3 - 5 will present. This is an adult-only event. Teachers will discuss classroom policies, share a little about themselves, and talk about grade level curriculum.

Here is the lunch menu for August (this one is much easier to read than the online version!). If your child is purchasing lunch, please add money to their account on PaySchools Central. Here are directions for how to set up a PaySchools account (hint- you’ll need your child’s ID number, which can be found on Infinite Campus. All roads lead back to Infinite Campus!). You may also choose to apply for free or reduced lunch costs- which must be renewed every school year.

Classroom teachers are available via email, and will respond within 24 hours. They are very busy actively delivering instruction to your children, and do not check their email constantly throughout the day.

For that reason, if there is something urgent you need to communicate to the school, please call Mrs. Neely and Mrs. Ollanketo in the front office (614-764-5970), and they can deliver the message or support you through a situation.

August 15: First day of school (grades 1 - 5) (kindergarteners last names A - L)

August 16: Grades 1 - 5, Kindergarteners last names M - Z

August 19: All students attend

August 21: Curriculum Night (adults only)

K-2 Classrooms 5:15 - 6:00

3-5 Classrooms 6:15 - 7:00

August 23: Picture Day
