In the event of a school closing or delay, PLA @ 48 will communicate with families through the following ways:
Local TV stations: Channel 4 (CBS), Channel 6 (ABC), Channel 8 (CW), Channel 13 (NBC) and Channel 59 (FOX)
Posted on our website in Announcements and the school calendar
On the main Phalen Leadership Academy @ 48 school social media accounts: Facebook, X and Instagram
Via text, phone and email message*
Two-Hour Delays
For two-hour delays or cancellations, our goal is to notify parents and families by 6:00 am. If there is a decision to delay, we will continue to monitor the condition of our surrounding roads. Two-hour delay means PLA @ 48 would start school at 9:20am.
School Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation, PLA @ 48 ’s campus will be closed during school hours, and we will conduct school as an e-learning day.
Please know that the safety of our scholars and staff is our top priority when deciding to delay or cancel school. Contact the main office at 317-226-4248 with any questions or concerns.
