LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Santa Rita Families,
It’s been a wonderful week at Santa Rita. Everyone appreciated having some time off and reconnecting with family and friends. Classes are in full swing, with teachers working hard to provide our students rich and engaging learning experiences.
On Tuesday, our PTA provided students with a fantastic assembly from the San Francisco Opera. Students and staff listened to songs of the season. It was a lovely time for our entire school to come together and enjoy the joys of the holiday season.
Our Student Leadership Team also met this week to brainstorm ways to support our school community. From planning spirit days to volunteering as school ambassadors and the lunchtime crew who helps with our ball shake. These students are showing exceptional initiative!
Thank you to our dedicated teachers, Ms. Selincourt and Mrs. Lorenz, for guiding this fantastic group of leaders.
Classes have been learning about gratitude through our SEL curriculum, Character Strong, so don’t forget to check in with your child about the highlight of their week! Please review the work your child brings home, especially the teacher notes and formative assessments. Thank you to all who have completed or are awaiting your child’s conference. These conversations are essential to share academic growth, continue developing strong relationships between school and home, and provide support for your child and your family.
