Dr. David Brothman's message: Mikva Challenge
Proud of our students!
Last Friday, January 17th, students from North Chicago, Stevenson, and Round Lake High Schools participated in the Mikva Challenge Lake County Youth Council Project Soapbox event.
These amazing young people tackled critical issues facing our community, including housing, mental health, the environment, community safety, and education. Working in groups, they researched these problems and developed innovative solutions, presenting their findings in compelling 5-minute speeches.
They received valuable guidance from local experts in each field throughout the process.
On February 20th, our students will head to Cristo Rey HS to refine their speeches with the help of community leaders. This preparation will empower them to effectively lobby members of the Illinois Legislature in March and advocate for the changes they believe in.
