Things To Know
LILJA FIELD DAY FRIDAY, MAY 24TH!
SAVE THE DATE! Our Lilja Lions will have their 2nd annual whole school field day on Friday, May 24th (rain date May 30th)! The Lilja School Field Day is intended to be a safe, fun event for the whole school community to come together in celebration, and in a demonstration of achievement of physical skills gained through participation in P.E. throughout the year. The events take place across the day from 9am to 2pm. Each teacher will share an individualized class schedule closer to the day of the event. Please review our Expectations for Spectators as well as our Field Day Reminders flier so that you and your student are prepared for a fun filled day!
BE KIND TO OUR NEIGHBORS!
Work was just completed on Arbor Circle, including a newly seeded berm. Please avoid parking on the berm while it is in a fragile state! Thank you!
2ND & 3RD GRADE FAMILIES: INSTRUMENT SHOWCASE!
Dear Caregivers and Families of 2nd and 3rd grade students,
The Natick Public Schools is excited to be offering orchestra to 3rd and 4th grade students and band to 4th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year! Please find attached a flyer for our annual Instrumental Showcase which will take place on Tuesday, June 11 from 5 - 7pm in the Natick High School Cafeteria. During this time students will have the opportunity to see, hear, touch and play the instruments that will be offered for both orchestra and band. For even more information about our programs and how to register, please visit this website.
We look forward to seeing you at this special event!
Mr. Rice (band) & Ms. Natti (Orchestra)
LOUIE COMING TO VISIT!
We are partnering with the Natick Fire to support their training of Louie, the department's comfort dog! As you may recall from information shared about Maisy, research has shown that having therapy dogs at school increases attendance, enriches the classroom learning environment, improves cognitive performance and social and emotional learning, improves self-esteem, and encourages growing readers. Research conducted by Kent State University showed dogs can help younger students relieve stress, too.
As Louie is still a young dog, not every classroom or child will get a visit, but we hope to reach as many students as we can!
If you wish to opt your child out of an opportunity to interact with Louie please email Ms. Simoni (csimoni@natickps.org)
