Gale-Bailey News Letter🦁👋
United We ROAR for All!
Dear Gale-Bailey Families, Students, and Our Wonderful School Community,
📣 MCAP is Finally Here! Let’s Finish Strong! 📣
It’s that time of year—MCAP testing begins this Monday for students in grades 3–5! Our scholars have been working hard all year, and over the past few weeks, they’ve been diving into review sessions, practicing strategies, and building confidence for the big day. We even had a high-energy MCAP Rally to get everyone pumped up—and we had a blast!
Now it’s time to bring all that preparation to life, and we need your support to help our Mighty Lions do their best!
🧠 Family Tips for MCAP Success:
✅ Get Plenty of Rest
Make sure your child is getting a full night’s sleep. A well-rested brain is a ready brain!
✅ Limit Electronics at Night
Please limit the use of phones, tablets, and video games in the evening. This helps students wind down and focus.
✅ Arrive On Time
Testing starts first thing in the morning. Students who arrive late may miss breakfast and feel rushed. Arrive by 8:55 AM to give your child a calm and confident start.
✅ Eat a Healthy Breakfast
A nutritious breakfast fuels the brain! Students may eat at school, but arriving on time is essential.
✅ Encourage a Positive Mindset
Talk with your child about the importance of doing their best, reading every question carefully, checking their answers, and taking their time.
✅ Stay Calm, Stay Focused
Remind students: it’s not about being perfect—it’s about giving their best effort and showing what they know! Leave nothing blank on the test.
We believe in every one of our scholars, and with your help, they’ll shine on this test just like they do every day. Let’s continue working together to support their success. We’re in it together—for our students.
With gratitude and high expectations,
Proud Principal, Gale-Bailey Elementary
