We have accumulated a large number of items in our lost and found. If your child has lost or misplaced something, please encourage them to come have a look in the lost and found box to see if anything belongs to them. Parents are also more than welcome to stop by the front lobby to have a look. What is not claimed by the end of the day on Friday, May 9th we will donated.

We had an absolutely amazing Fun and Friendship Week at Roncalli the week of April 14 - 18th! As a full school, we were engaged with various extra activites to enhance and enrich the learning and school life experiences for the children. Lots of fun was had by all and lots of wonderful memories were made! A few of our highlights can be seen below.

Online Registration for Kinderstart (2025 - 2026) - Kindergarten (2026 - 2027) will get underway next week as per the NLSchools' School Zoning, Student Registration and Transfers (PROG-311) policy. The registration for Roncalli families will be open starting Wednesday, May 14 @ 9:00 AM and ending on Thursday, May 15 @ 11:59 PM.

You will need the following in order to complete an online application:

1. MCP number including expiration date;
2. An email address in order to receive confirmation of receipt of your application;
3. What school you are zoned for (Please use the School Catchment Viewer HERE);
4. Contact phone number and an emergency contact phone number; and,
5. An Internet-ready device

To complete the registration process, proof of address and confirmation of MCP number must be provided to the school via email (trinapearce@nlschools.ca) or in person on or before May 30, 2025.

Please note that this registration process is for children who will attend KinderStart in the upcoming 2025 - 2026 school year and Kindergarten in the following 2026 - 2027 school year. Children registered in KinderStart will automatically be registered to attend Kindergarten.

***To register for this, children must be five (5) years of age on or before December 31, 2026.

May 1st was National Principal's Day. We took the opportunity to honor our very own Ms. Pearce. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering support is evident in everything she does. She is always there for us—encouraging, guiding, and showing gratitude.

Thank you, Ms. Pearce, for all that you do for Roncalli Elementary and for the positive impact you have on our school community. We are truly lucky to have a principal who inspires us every single day.

Our spring musical concert will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 10:00 AM. This will include our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students. Parents/Guardians of Grade 5 and Grade 6 students are invited to attend. More information will be sent out ot the Grade 5 and Grade 6 families.

It's truly commendable when students take the initiative to care for their school environment. Their efforts make a real difference in keeping the grounds clean and enjoyable for everyone. It's a wonderful example of responsibility and community spirit. Thank you to these awesome students for cleaning up our school grounds this week; they did an amazing job!

Earth Day is a fantastic opportunity to think about and appreciate our planet. These kindergarten students are off to a great start.
