Healthy Living Month
April 2024
Check it out!
On April 15, 2024, the District 64 Schools will be acknowledged by the City of Park Ridge with a proclamation in recognition of Healthy Living Month. The goal for this community-wide initiative is to promote healthy bodies and healthy minds. Students will have access to healthy living resources and activities and will be given a weekly challenge relating to one of the themes below:
Health and Nutrition Week 1 (April 2-7)
Neat to Use Your Feet Week 2 (April 8-14)
Go Green Week 3 (April 15-21)
Screen Free Week 4 (April 22-28)
Students will receive an April Healthy Living Month Bingo card and will be given the opportunity to meet various challenges related to their health. As weekly challenges are completed, students will initial the appropriate box. At the end of the month, if students have completed ALL the challenges, parents will sign the card. Students will then submit the card to their classroom teacher. This card ensures your child's entry into a schoolwide raffle. Raffle winners will have an opportunity to teach P.E. class alongside their teacher. They will also receive a swag bag from Advocate Children's Hospital.
A special thank you to our School District 64 Community Supporters: Advocate Children's Hospital, City of Park Ridge, Village of Niles, Park Ridge Police Department, GoGreen!, Park Ridge Public Library, Park Ridge Park District, Park Ridge Friends of the Parks, and Park Ridge Health Commission.
