A Message from the Principals

Hello Pine Brook Families!

We hope that you and your family can join us for Family Night on Thursday, November 7th from 5:30-6:30. At this event, we are going to be kicking off One School, One Book at Pine Brook! One School, One Book is a community event where families, students, and teachers share their love for literacy by all reading the SAME book at the SAME time. Our Pine Brook One School, One Book choice is The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Families are encouraged to read the book aloud to their children at home by following the reading guide, created by Pine Brook teachers. Reading aloud is proven to prepare effective readers, build vocabulary, and it is also a great way to spend family time! We hope you’ll join us at the Family Kickoff Event and by reading each night with your child!

About the Book:

The Wild Robot is a captivating story that follows the

journey of Roz, a robot who finds herself on a wild and

uninhabited island. As she navigates this unfamiliar terrain,

she discovers the beauty of nature, forms

unexpected connections, and learns important lessons about life, friendship, and survival.

We can’t wait to see you on Thursday from 5:30-6:30 for a celebratory night filled with resources you can take home to use with your Panther!

✅ Level Up Capital Improvement Project Vote ✅

District to Host Level Up Capital Improvement Project Vote on Dec. 10
On December 10, Greece Central School District residents will vote on a capital improvement project that will enhance every school without increasing the tax levy. The proposal, called "Level Up," focuses on maintaining our facilities and updating classrooms to better support the changing needs of our students. Linked is a brief overview of the project. This is the first in a series of information sheets that will be shared with the community in the weeks leading up to the vote. For more detailed information on Level Up, please visit the district website.

We encourage all registered voters to mark their calendars and make time to vote on December 10! Polls will be open at the district’s Transportation and Support Services Facility, located at 1790 Latta Road, from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Big News, Panthers! Our apparel store is open for business! Orders can be placed through November 12th and will be delivered to your home between November 21st and December 3rd. A portion of each sale goes toward helping the PTSA provide Field Trips, Grow Your Genius Club support, School-wide celebrations and more! Wear your gear AND help the school at once!

Greece Central is hiring Bus Drivers and Attendants. We provide paid training and flexible hours. We would enjoy an opportunity to talk with any Parent or Community members who might be interested. Who to Call With Questions is a Resource for Families

Building trust and ensuring that there are open lines of communication between home and school are essential for student success. We want to be sure you know who to contact with questions or concerns. In December, the district shared a new resource for families. In case you missed it, this linked Who to Call with Questions, Concerns and Compliments reference guide is a step-by-step guide families can use to ensure questions are answered quickly and effectively. Please refer to it whenever you need to speak to someone about your child’s progress. Whether your inquiry is about academics, safety, or services and supports, there are people at the school and district level who are ready to help whenever a question or concern arises.

For Step 1 concerns at Pine Brook, please start with the person closest to the situation. They should be able to help you navigate the situation. If the concern rises to a Step 2, please contact the Assistant Principal. For your convenience there is a list below of contacts at Pine Brook:
