Principal's Corner
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Happy Friday! Another week has gone by and students are continuing to impress me. I want to tell you how polite and kind your kiddos are! I have seen numerous students go out of their way to help others and to be a good friend, and it makes my heart so happy. You should be so proud of your student(s)!
This week the I-Ready diagnostic results were mailed out for K-8 students. If you haven’t received the information yet it should be getting to you soon. The letter consists of your student’s reading and math score in addition to letting you know if your student is required to be on a reading success plan (RSP) based on their reading diagnostic. If your student is required to be on a RSP more information will be coming from your student’s teacher once the plan has been created.
In addition to the I-Ready diagnostic information being sent out, student grade cards are also being sent out this week. If you have a student in a Launch math course I sent an email this week explaining the grade that will show up on their grade card and some other important information regarding Launch. If you haven’t had a chance to read that, please do so at your earliest convenience.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. My door is always open and I am always willing to help however I can. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Kyla Kirtley
Principal
