Expansion of Spring Access Window

  • WIDA 2025 testing window - January 27th - April 4th
  • expanded window will help to accommodate students who are observing Ramadan during the testing timeframe
  • consider testing students who are observing Ramadan at the state of the window

  • Manual Exit - must be completed by Sept. 11th with SRMs
  • MDE Fall EL Update webinar - -Sept. 25th, Jan 22nd, April 16th
  • Summer EBT benefits end soon - benefits last for 122 days from when the card was issued, please encourage families to use any remaining summer EBT before they expire
  • Minutes and staffing - MDE must release the required number of minutes for ELD instruction by March, districts must meet the minimum instructional minutes to continue receiving Section 41 funding, MDE released a tentative model in January (slides), watch for updates
  • EL supports for College Board tests can be requested in SSD now through Feb. 18th
