OGHS Positive Sportsmanship Expectations

Let's Bench Bad Behavior

At Oak Grove High School, we expect good sportsmanship from everyone involved including students, athletes, parents, coaches, and spectators. Participation in athletic programs is a privilege which comes with obligations as a representative of our school.

All spectators, students, athletes, and coaches are expected to:

Conform to acceptable standards of good sportsmanship and behavior
Show respect for opposing participants, coaches, and game officials
Follow all directives from school administration, event staff, and law enforcement

Anyone that does not follow the expectations or is disruptive, unruly, or abusive will be subject to ejection from the premises.

A spectator’s behavior reflects on the team that he/she supports. Let’s make that a positive reflection. Enjoy and have passion for the game, but remember . . . it’s only a game! Let’s work together to “bench bad behavior.”

As a reminder, only athletes, coaches, school administration, and law enforcement are allowed on the field or court. Spectators are not allowed on the field or court before, during, or after the game.
