Facilitators' Findings
We are still filled with the excitement that Engage 39X brought to our campus last Friday. This event provided a rare opportunity for educators to immerse themselves in a full school day alongside our dedicated staff and students. From guided tours to interactive discussions, Engage 39x allowed participants to witness firsthand the depth of learning taking place and gain valuable insights into our learner-centered design process.
Throughout the day, educators had the privilege of attending workshops, presentations, and activities led by our talented Design39Campus staff. These sessions offered a comprehensive understanding of the innovative teaching methods and practices that are fundamental to our school's approach to education. By learning directly from the educators who designed the lessons, participants gained practical strategies and techniques to enhance their own teaching practices.
Moreover, Engage 39x facilitated meaningful connections and collaboration among educators from diverse backgrounds. As participants explored the campus together, engaged in thought-provoking discussions, and shared their experiences, they forged lasting bonds and formed a supportive network of like-minded professionals. With continental breakfast and lunch provided, educators were able to fuel their minds and bodies as they delved into this enriching educational experience.
Events like Engage 39x play a pivotal role in ensuring that our campus remains at the forefront of educational innovation. By opening our doors to educators from across the country and providing them with a firsthand glimpse into our learner-centered design process, we not only showcase the transformative work happening within our school but also contribute to the advancement of education as a whole. Through dialogue, collaboration, and shared experiences, events like Engage 39x empower us to continuously refine our practices, explore new methodologies, and push the boundaries of what education can achieve. As we continue to embrace opportunities for professional growth and development, we solidify our commitment to providing an exemplary learning environment that prepares students for success in an ever-evolving world.

Lofty Ideas
With heartfelt appreciation, we are thrilled to unveil the refreshed look of the Loft! This week, our eagerly awaited new bookcases and circulation desk have arrived, transforming our space into a hub of creativity and learning. The feedback from our students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their enthusiasm for the updated furniture and layout. "It's really cool," remarked one student, while another praised the new desk, saying, "I like the new setup." Their comments affirm that our efforts to enhance the Loft have been well received.
Furthermore, the flexibility of our new furniture allows us to adapt the space to meet evolving needs. We remain committed to involving our students in the process, seeking their input as we continue to shape this space together.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Collaborative for their extraordinary generosity in providing this new furniture. Their support enables us to further our mission of empowering our designers on their reading and research journeys. Together, we look forward to embracing this exciting new chapter in the Loft's story.

Redundant Repetitious Reiterating Repeated Recurrent Routine Reminders
Please see the flyer below for information about the D39C 2023-2024 Yearbook, including ordering information.
Attendance and OCIS Contracts: If you have a student who will not be in class for 5-14 days, please notify the office so we can have the parents fill out an OCIS contract for their child. The forms will have to be completed and signed by parents 5-10 days in advance of the absence. Click here for a link to the OCIS Contract.
Parents are required to give 5 days notice for absences up to 5 days, 10 days notice for absences more than 5 days.
Prepping work for students who are absent is an incredible amount of work for our teaching staff and we ask that you give your child’s teacher as much advance notice as possible beyond the above guidelines.
We do not write contracts beyond 14 days. If you plan to be away for 15 or more days please contact the Welcome Center for the necessary procedures.
Would you like to become a part of the Design39Campus Team? Do you like to be outside and work with children? If so, we are looking for a few quality Motion Managers to help support our designers during body breaks and lunch during the middle of the day. Possible times are 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. or 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. If interested, please apply through Poway Unified School District at the this link.

- Attendance at funeral services for a member of the immediate family

Personal Items: For equity reasons, we are asking that students keep their personal playground equipment at home or in their backpack. Our wonderful Collaborative supplies us with enough funding to ensure that there is enough equipment during recess and lunch.
