Frederickson Elementary
December Newsletter
Thank you Frederickson staff and families for another incredible food drive! We collected a total of 3,124 items! Nice job 2nd grade with pulling out the win at the end! They will receive a Donut Dance Party in January. Go Flyers!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! What's better than one spirit day? How about an entire week of spirit days? Monday, December 16th through December 20th, we'll be showing off our festive holiday spirit. Please join the holiday fun by following our Holiday Week schedule below.
Winter Cheer Grams
Students can purchase grams at lunch recess on December 12th and 13th. Please help your student create their lists (and check them twice) with student names and teachers to ensure they have enough time to purchase their grams. With a cute note and a sweet treat, cheer grams are a great way to share some winter cheer with our Flyer friends. Cheer Grams are $0.50/each and will be delivered to students before Winter Break.
Want to send a cheer gram to your student? You can purchase them online HERE and we'll take care of the rest!
For questions, please reach out to the PTA at FEPTA09@gmail.com.

This month, our district's 1-hour late start Mondays are December 2nd, December 9th, and December 16th. School will start at 9:45 AM and breakfast will be served.
Popcorn Day

Student Transfer Requests for 2025-2026
First consideration deadline for accepting student transfer requests for the 2025-26
school year will be March 14, 2025 for all grades, K through 12. Requests received
after the deadline may not be considered until the week of August 11. Requests submitted
after August 18 will be reviewed after September 5 when actual enrollment counts are in.
A student transfer request form may be completed and submitted online from the
district’s website beginning January 6, 2025. All transfer requests will be done
electronically.
If the request is submitted by March 14 parents will be notified by April 15 if the
request has been approved or denied. Approval or denial of transfer requests will be
based on established criteria outlined in board policies and procedures 3131 and 3141.
Parents will provide transportation for students who voluntarily attend a school
outside their attendance area. For more information, call Mary Ann Mulloy-White at
253-800-2012 for secondary or Rayna Messer at 253-800-2014 for elementary.
Students who are currently approved for in-district student transfers do not have to
complete a new form unless they are changing from elementary to middle school or
middle school to high school.
Nonresident Transfer Requests are good for one year at a time and must be renewed
annually.
If you intend to renew your student’s nonresident status for the 2025-2026 school year,
please (1) obtain a Choice Transfer/Release of Attendance from your resident district and
(2) complete the Nonresident Transfer Request form which is available online at
