HALLOWEEN PARADES
Dear Timber Trail Elementary Families,
We are so excited for our annual Halloween Parade, which will take place on October 31st at 9:00 AM! This is always such a fun and festive event, and we can't wait to see everyone there.
As we anticipate our parking lot will fill up quickly, we kindly ask that if you're able to carpool or walk (if distance allows), please do so. We would greatly appreciate your help in making this event run smoothly.
Since the parade is first thing in the morning, please send your child to school dressed in their costume. A few important reminders:
Please ensure your child's costume appropriately covers their body, similar to our everyday dress code.
Costumes should be school-appropriate.
No replicas of weapons or props that could pose a hazard.
Students may dye their hair.
Masks or make-up are okay! Just please ensure that any make-up is applied quickly, right before the parade or party.
October weather can be unpredictable, so we’ve prepared two routes for the parade, depending on conditions. Please see the image linked here for route details. Unless there is snow or rain, we plan to hold the parade outside!
Be on the lookout for additional communication from your child’s teacher regarding classroom parties on that day. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating together!
Warmly,
Rob and Michael

VETERAN'S DAY ASSEMBLY
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Veteran's Day Assembly on Monday, November 11th at 2:00 PM, and we would be honored to have our community join us for this special event.
After the assembly, we invite veterans and their families to a reception in the library, where light refreshments will be served. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect, reflect, and show our appreciation for the service and sacrifices made by our veterans.
In addition, we would love to highlight and honor family members who have served in the military by displaying their photos during the assembly. If you would like to participate, please send your submissions to Ann Foster at afoster3@dcsdk12.org. We strongly suggest that the pictures are in JPEG or PNG format along with the following information:
- Name of the service member
- Branch(es) of service (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force)
- Years of service (e.g., 1990-1995)
- Photo(s) of the service member
- Any special notes (e.g., Mechanic, served in Vietnam War, etc.)
Please send your submissions to Ann Foster at afoster3@dcsdk12.org by Tuesday, November 5th so we have enough time to prepare for the assembly.
We look forward to celebrating and honoring the veterans in our community and hope to see you there on November 11th!
