Dear Carson Families,

The state of California gives Carson Elementary $40.88 each day a student attends school. Those funds pay for staff and the overall functioning of Carson. We are asking the Carson Community to push for 100% school attendance. Why? Last year, Carson Elementary lost $144,000 from student absences and as a result, we lost two teachers.

Friends, let us push for 100% school attendance and earn needed resources for our Carson students. We do not want to lose another teacher nor staff member. Email Counselor Ballard at cballard@sandi.net with attendance questions.

The “BOOKS & BUNDTS” Reading program is back! Have your student read for at least 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week and track the minutes on the Reading Tracker. Once your student reaches 400 minutes, take the Reading Tracker to the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery for a free “Bundtlet” and award certificate. The address of the Bakery is, 5624 Mission Center, Suite B. San Diego, CA 92108. Every student is eligible, and all students have received their Reading Tracker.
