School Advisory Council is seeking your input about the school. We ask that each family take a few minutes to complete the survey. SAC will review the results and determine what actionable steps could help the school improve over the next year(s). We thank you in advance for your time and input.

Each year, our KR-3rd grade students dress up in costumes and walk in a parade around the school and their family members are welcome to come watch! The parade will be on Friday, October 25 at 1:00 pm inside the building (it will probably take 5-10 minutes for the line to get outside).

Parents can watch the parade from the main school entrance around the north side of the building to the gym doors. Families are welcome to watch from outside by lining the sidewalks along the path.

*If the weather is bad, we will move the parade and families inside the building.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be here before we know it. Teachers will be holding conferences for all students on October 30 and November 7. Be sure your scheduled conference time still works in your schedule. If you do not yet have a scheduled conference, please email your child's homeroom teacher. We do encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about how your child is growing as a saint and scholar.

We are getting ready to have our first quarter celebration for PBIS. The kids who spend their defender dollar on this always have a great time, and we want to make sure that continues. We are planning to have a Halloween Bash on Thursday, October 31st in the afternoon. Grades 4-8 will attend from 12:30 - 1:15 and grades K-3 will attend from 1:15 - 2:00. We currently have 200 students attending!! Mr. Ciesluk will be our DJ and we will have a fog machine, decorations, opportunity for photos with friends, as well as candy and plenty of fun. We are looking for some parents who are willing to donate their time or supplies to help this be a success. If you are signing up to volunteer make sure your VIRTUS is completed and up to date. Students who donate new socks can wear fun and quirky socks on November 4!

St. Michael School partners with the Parish to fill Thanksgiving Food Boxes for those in need in our county. The school kids are asked to donate PLASTIC jars of peanut butter or jelly. Our donations will help to feed over 1,000 people in our community. If you are or you know someone in need this season, please keep scrolling to the Parish Events section to see how to apply for a food box.

During October, our students are being challenged to say a decade of the rosary for as many days as possible in October.

Student Council will have 6 Out of Uniform days this year. Students who wish to participate donate a $1.00 which will be given to a designated charity for the month. This month, the donated money will be given to Catholic Charities for Hurricane Relief.

Be sure whether you participate in the theme or just dress casual, that you follow the Out of Uniform Dress Code (attached below for easy viewing). Pajamas are not acceptable to wear for these Out of Uniform days.

Saint Michael School would like to honor the special Veterans in the lives of our students. Please invite your Veteran to join us on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 8:35 am for Mass in the Parish Church and a light breakfast afterwards in the St. Michael Auditorium.

Students with Veterans attending will get to join their Veteran for the program and breakfast. Please RSVP by Thursday, November 7, 2024 with the number attending.

All students who plan to play a sport at St. Michael School will need a sports physical. Please take all paper work to be signed by a physician and then upload to Final Forms. Physicals must be completed before the athlete will be able to begin practices or play in games with the team.

Findlay City Schools have partnered with Sodexo to provide a hot lunch option to our KR - 8th grade students.

1. The meal cost will be $3.25/milk a la carte $0.55
   

2. You can find the lunch menu for our building here, or download the Nutrislice app! These menus can be translated into multiple languages by clicking the sidebar on the right.

3. Complete the free/reduced lunch application on PaySchools!

4. Load money on your student’s lunch account within PaySchools. You will need your student ID which can be found by signing into FACTS. Information on signing in is found in the FACTS section of the newsletter.
