NEW....May Monthly Activity Calendar
Click the link below to access and print the calendar for the month of MAY. As a family try to do as many of the boxes as you can during the entire month of May! You will see that many of the activities are geared toward Mindfulness activities since the month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This month's activity calendar was co-created by STEAM/Technology Teacher, Ms. D'Amico and Third Grade Teacher, Ms. Jenna Madden!
Renaissance Star Parent Reports
Today in your child's backpack you will find copies of the most recent Renaissance Star assessments that were completed in reading and math during the month of April/May. Parents/guardians of students in grades 1 to 5 received copies of Star Early Literacy and/or Star Reading, and Star Math assessments. Kindergarten parents/guardians received copies of Star CBM reports for reading and math. Our educators utilize the data to drive their whole class and small group instruction.
Nutrition News from Food Service Provider, Pomptonian, regarding National Dairy Month
As we approach National Dairy Month in June, we are excited to share with you our latest Nutrition News video featuring Spring Run Dairy. The video highlights the importance of dairy in a balanced diet and showcases the dedication of dairy farmers in providing wholesome products to our communities.

TJS Spring Concert Photo Recap
Congratulations fourth and fifth grade students for a tremendous performance which took place at MJS on Thursday, May 16th. Thank you to our dedicated staff: Mrs. Adkins, Band Director, Mrs. Quinlan, Orchestra Director, and Mrs. McEachern, General Music and Chorus Teacher for their continued supports of our young musicians. Thank you to Mrs. Snider, district instructional coach of the arts, for her continuous support of our elementary programs and to the parents/guardians for their commitment to all the early mornings and at home practice sessions that allow the students to be ready to perform each spring.

News from the Madison Music & Arts (MMA)
General Interest Meeting...Monday, May 20th!
Are you interested in supporting the visual and performing arts in the Madison Public Schools? Madison Music & Arts will be holding a general interest meeting on Monday, May 20 at 7:30pm in the Madison High School A Hall Conference Room. Topics of discussion include electing the new slate of officers, discussing past and upcoming events, and looking for volunteers. We are very excited that the new superintendent, Danielle Shanley, will also be attending! Madison Music & Arts is a parent-volunteer run group which advocates for and fundraises to support all visual and performing arts programs in all five schools throughout the district. Back by popular demand, the Fifth graders and teachers will take the plunge in our dunk tank!
But wait, there's more! This year, we're firing up the grill with a BBQ from Green Village Meatpacking Co! Sink your teeth into juicy burgers, sizzle with hot dogs, or go veggie with our tasty options. Don't forget the sides and a mountain of watermelon!
BBQ tickets must be purchased in advance to ensure we're stocked up and ready to roll. We encourage you to grab your Jamboree tickets (bracelets, raffles, tickets, coupons) in advance and go digital. Pizza and ice cream will still be available to purchase the day of.

Field Day is June 4th (raindate June 11)!! We can use LOTS of volunteers to help the day run smoothly! Please consider signing up for the AM or PM session, or both!
The 2nd TJS Color Run will be here in 2 weeks! An email was sent out this week with reminders and tips for the day of.

2024 MEF Pickleball Tournament
Registration is OPEN for the 2024 MEF Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Register individually or with a partner for a fast-paced, fundraising day of round-robin style play.
- Adults 18 and up
- Prize baskets and medals sponsored by The Spelker Real Estate Team
- Lunch offering for purchase from Harvest Bistro
- Registration cost is $65
NEW THIS YEAR is the MEF Youth Pickle & Play on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Register your kids for a fun morning of pickleball games and tournament play. Activities will be tailored by experience and age (elementary, middle, and high school). Beginners welcome!
- Ages 18 and under
- Warm up led by CrossFit 377
- Prizes and refreshments
- Registration cost is $30
- Parent/guardian must be present for kids 10 and under
