Glow Day!
Glow Day was a big hit! Our students had an great time celebrating together, and the excitement was everywhere. Students had a glow-themed Community Meeting learning about the character trait of the month, and were captivated by bioluminescent sea life videos during lunch! Every student received a glow stick to join in the fun, and activities ranged from glow-in-the-dark dance parties to flashlight reading, along with engaging writing and math games.
A note from Mr. Lanctot 😀
We are thrilled to announce that our 5th graders have had the opportunity to apply for a unique leadership role at our school! Through a formal application and interview process, students have been selected to join the “Meerkat Monitors” program. Most of these students have received training and will officially begin their roles this week.
As Meerkat Monitors, they will serve as role models for our younger students in Kindergarten, First Grade, and around the school, helping to guide them throughout the school day. We believe this program will foster a strong sense of responsibility and pride in our 5th graders, while also building a greater sense of belonging here at McCarthy Elementary.
Thank you for your support in encouraging our young leaders as they take on this exciting new role!
In Good Health,
Christopher Lanctot
