Spartan Families,
It is hard to believe that it is already May! I would say that I can't believe it, but I keep passing students in the hall and doing double takes as they pass by simply amazed at how tall they are getting. I tease them that I am shrinking, but their growth is evidence of another year gone by. Now we begin to prepare to wrap things up and end on a strong note!
Our students did amazing with testing season this year. The younger students showed great restraint and great respect for our older Spartans as they took these tests. Our 3-5 graders showed us their best effort and made us proud. Thank you parents for getting them to school and for making sure they were ready!
This month will definitely be fast and furious! Please look at the calendar of events and make note of special dates and times. We don't want you to miss anything! With teacher appreciation week coming next week, please encourage your child to let their teacher know how much they appreciate their hard work.
I hope you are able to join us tomorrow evening as we enjoy the 5th graders performing their last elementary musical. I got goosebumps today as I watched them practice. They are ready to leave the nest and we are so proud of them! Come celebrate their last performance and stick around to enjoy the food, booths, community information and educational games around campus. It's going to be a great night, 5-7pm. We hope to see you there!
The next Coffee with the Principal is on Monday, May 12 at 3:30.
This will be a joint meeting with PTA to elect officers and set the budget for the upcoming 25-26 school year. We need members in attendance to be able to vote on either subject, so please come support our efforts to keep Lagos PTA alive and strong.
This is important and we encourage you to come, even if you have not paid your PTA dues!
This meeting is for everyone :)
Have a Marvelous May,
Ms Parker
