3 Weeks!
We hope everyone enjoyed their November break! We have 3 weeks left until our next break, and we want to make sure these next few weeks are good ones. Let's all work together to make these weeks before the break successful! Thank you for supporting our amazing staff and students by reviewing our school rules:
1) Be Safe
2) Be Respectful
3) Be Responsible
Bonus) Be a Marigold!
HERE is a fun song and HERE is another that you could listen to with your younger student(s) to review our rules. HERE is a video you could watch with your older students to review our school rules.
As always, if you have questions or would like to discuss anything, our doors are always open!
Be A Marigold
Some of our families wanted to recognize a couple Marigolds!
To Mrs. Seable and Mrs. Casey:
Brielle wants you to know that “you are the best second grade teachers in the world! You are very, very kind, and I am happy to be in your class.”
-Brielle, Sierra, and Thomas
To Mr. Dean:
Layla says “He bes good to us, and he helps me when I am sad. He helps me learn a lot. Mr. Dean is the best!”
-Layla, Thomas, and Sierra
Do you have a staff member you want to recognize for being supportive, thoughtful, or encouraging? Fill out this form HERE to tell us about them!
River Hawk Gear
We are working on our River Hawk Gear orders for those of you who filled out an order form. Keep an eye out for communication from us to pay and pick up your order!
Construction Work
Early Learning and Wellness Center
Some of you may have noticed some construction work on our East Campus playground on the garden side. Outlier Construction has begun the process of building the Early Learning and Wellness Center. It will be fun for us to see the building come along. Students are already asking questions about why certain things are happening first. We may have some engineers and construction workers in our future! We met with Outlier Construction to make sure that while construction is happening, our students will be safe! If you have any questions, please reach out.
Single Points of Entry
Plans are finalized for single points of entry on both campuses. We will meet with the construction company soon to discuss details for what this will look since construction will begin while school is in session. Our top priority is keeping our students safe during this process, and we will make sure to communicate with you all when we know exact details. Stay tuned!
SART Lessons Beginning
In the Rogue River School District and the State of Oregon, sexuality education is part of the
overall health education standards and curriculum in all grades, K-12. RRES will be working with Jackson County SART to deliver sexual health instruction to our students.
The first lesson will be delivered in classrooms the week of December 9th. You, as your
student's guardian, have the absolute right to opt out of your student taking part in this. In order
to make an informed decision, the links to what is covered in these lessons are below.
Kindergarten - 5th Grade Lessons
If, after reviewing the different topics covered, you would like to opt your student out of taking part in these lessons, please fill out the form through the link below before December 9th.
If you are not able to access the links, you can contact your building secretary for a paper copy to be sent home with your student(s) or you can come into the office to sign an opt out form.

Lost and Found
We have some coats, jackets, and sweatshirts that have lost their home. Are your students missing anything? Come down or encourage your student to look through our lost and found located on each campus in the cafeteria.
Winter Weather
Winter weather is approaching, and with that comes possible school delays or cancellations. If there is a delay, no matter if it is M - F, school will begin at 10 AM and breakfast will not be served. You will be receiving communication from the Superintendent the day of if there is a delay or cancellation.
Family Committee Meeting
We will have our Family Committee Meeting on Tuesday, December 10th at 6pm in room 10 on the East Campus. Please join us as we will discuss the remaining upcoming events for the year and discuss our upcoming goals for our school!
Winter Concert
Our Winter Concert will be on Thursday, December 19th in the West Gym. It was a huge success last year and we were overflowing with community support! This year, to try and accommodate the amount of people attending, we will have our concert in two shifts:
Kinder - 2nd grade performances: 6 PM - 6:30 PM
Intermission: 6:30 PM - 7 PM
3rd - 6th grade performances: 7 PM - 7:30 PM
Please have your Kinder - 2nd grade student arrive between 5:30 PM - 5:45 PM and your 3rd - 6th grade student 6:30 PM - 6:45 PM. When you arrive, please take your student to a designated classroom. We will send out communication closer to the event with exact details for which grades and which classroom to take them to.
We kindly ask that if you have a Kinder - 2nd grade performer, that you stay for the entirety of that showcase. If you have a Kinder - 2nd grader and a 3rd - 6th grader, please have your 3rd - 6th grader stay with you during the Kinder - 2nd grade performance and pick up your Kinder - 2nd grader during the intermission. We kindly ask that if you're attending the 3rd - 6th grade performance, that you stay for the entirety of that showcase.
To pick your child up after their grade levels' performance, you will go to their designated classroom and check out with the teacher. The students will only be released to adults that are listed on the "able to release" contacts. Please make sure you have your ID available.
