In 1st grade we are learning about the Bossy R. This week we focused on the "ar" sound. The 1st graders went on a treasure hunt to find "ar" words around the classroom. They made a treasure map using these words and made pirate hats!

In third grade, students have been learning about fractions in various ways. Students created paper fraction strips to compare fractions, learned fraction songs, and even split their names into fractions. The most fun came in the form of playdoh! Students created a number line out of playdoh and broke it into various fractions. As a whole, students really enjoyed all the parts about learning fractions!

We are at the halfway point of March is Reading Month! If you have not already turned in your form, please do so. March 22nd is the last day but I will accept forms until April 4th. No late forms can be accepted! You can access the challenge forms using the following links.
