FCPS Family Survey!
The 2025 FCPS Family Survey is now open!
Our school relies on your feedback to help make our campus a welcoming place where all students can succeed. The annual Family Survey is an important way to share your child’s experience at school and inform future decisions that impact their education. Every parent or guardian is encouraged to complete one survey for each school their children attend. If you haven’t had a chance to participate yet, please visit https://bit.ly/FCPSFS25.
Cell Phone and Headphone Reminder
Over the past two weeks, we have noticed an uptick in students carrying their cell phones and wearing their headphones in the building. We have also seen an increase in discipline issues that are directly connected to cell phone usage.
Please help us remind students about our policy: cell phones are to be placed in lockers upon arrival and remain there until dismissal. Headphones and earbuds should be out of sight unless needed for instruction and requested by the teacher. Students should not be wearing headphones or earbuds around the building.
If students do not feel comfortable leaving their cell phone in their locker, they should leave it home. We have landlines in every classroom and they are always able to contact you. I have linked our cell phone policy below as a reminder.
DanceBlue! This Week!
THIS WEEK is DanceBlue! We have a spirit week to get the students excited for DanceBlue on Friday!
AND! Tickets will continue to be on sale until the day of. On March 7th, ticket sales will end at 2:30PM. If a student is looking to buy a ticket, have them see Ms. Trish in her room, Ms. Blevins in her room, Ms. Calico in the library, or teachers at lunch selling tickets! We want to see as many students there as possible!!
Danceblue will be from 2-6 PM in the gym. There are many components making this event so much fun. But at the end, there will be a final reveal of how much money TCMS has raised this year for the UK Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Clinic! We encourage you to join us in the gym around 5:40 to see the surprise reveal of the total amount of money we will be donating!

House Bracket Games!
As part of our House System, we’re launching the House Bracket Games for March Madness! Each Commodore Time will participate by filling out an NCAA Tournament bracket, and the best-performing brackets will earn points for their House.
How It Works:
• Each CT will complete a bracket predicting the winners of the NCAA Tournament.
• Points will be awarded based on correct picks, with later rounds earning more points.
• The top 4 Commodore Times will earn points for their House, plus bonuses for participation.
• Standings will be updated throughout the tournament.
More information will come in a Commodore Time lesson. In the meantime, you can mention it to your student(s) in case they want to start doing some research on teams!
