Principal's Update
Greetings, Charger Families~
Next week is the final week before Spring Break, and our students will be taking their 3rd Marking Period Common Summative Assessments (CSAs). Please note that all days next week are full days of school. Below is the testing schedule:
Wednesday: Hours 1, 3, 5
Thursday: Hours 2, 4, 6
Encourage your student(s) to review and prepare so they can perform their best on these assessments. As a reminder, the final grade for each semester is broken down as follows (with slight variations for AP classes):
60%: Performance (assessments)
30%: Practice (homework/classwork)
10%: Quarterly CSA
Please note that we will have a full day of school on Friday, March 21st, and Spring Break officially begins on Monday, March 24th, running through Friday, March 28th. Students will return to school on Monday, March 31st.
Wishing everyone a happy weekend!

Congratulations to the CHS Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Band, & Wind Ensemble
Congratulations to the Churchill Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Band, and Wind Ensemble on their performances at MSBOA Band and Orchestra Festival! The Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble earned straight Division 1 "Superior" ratings (meaning every judge gave them a 1) and the Symphony Band received a very high "Excellent" Division 2 rating, just shy of a Superior rating with a 1, 2, 2 rating on stage and a 1 in Sight Reading.

CHS Students Must Carry Student IDs
This is a friendly but important reminder that all CHS students are required to carry their Student ID on them at all times while on campus. Having your ID accessible is critical for security purposes and helps staff members ensure the safety of everyone on school grounds. If a staff member asks for your ID, it is important that you are able to easily access and show it.
Additionally, for students attending classes at the LCTC (Livonia Career Technical Center), it is mandatory to have the LCTC sticker on your Student ID. If you need an LCTC sticker, please see Mrs. Roberts in the principal's office.
Thank you for doing your part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all of our students and staff. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to safety.

Feel free to use a project that you have already completed this school year or one that you plan to do before the project due date. If interested, please take a look at the attached information sheet and link to the commitment form. Commitment forms are due by February 28th while projects are not due until April 21st.
