K-8 Campus Updates
Greetings Grizzly Family,
We want to give a special Shout Out of Appreciation to our Middle School Boys Basketball team for coming out this weekend and cleaning up in the gym! Under the leadership of Coach Bradford & Coach Dailey, our Grizzlies cleaned under the bleachers, started washing the seats and removed as much dust and trash from the gym as possible…along with Mrs. Weed. Thank you Team!
Also Parents, we appreciate your continued efforts to get your Grizzly to school on time, so they are in class and ready to receive instruction at 7:45am. And, finally, join us in encouraging your students to show, be and do their BEST each and every day. Have a great week!
Thank you,
Mrs. Spencer
High School Campus Updates
Greetings, Grizzly Families!
Please continue to encourage your students to prepare for school each day by being on time, wearing proper attire according to the dress code, and keeping up with their assignments. Every course counts! Thank you for your tireless efforts in supporting your student's success.
We want to offer the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) aptitude test as a tool to support students in planning postsecondary opportunities. Although the ASVAB is most often associated with the military, it is an assessment for students in grades 10th-12th to discover strengths and skills that will be helpful in choosing future career options. If you would like your scholar to participate in the assessment, please complete the Google form by 11/22/2024. Scores will not be reported to the Armed Forces; however, the test administration is done by members of the Armed Forces on our campus, and students interested in the military can connect with a recruiter.
Parents of High School Students who need the N.C. Driving Eligibility Certificate:
- When your student is ready for this form, please email Mrs. Simpson (margaretsimpson@cgsnc.org).
- You, as the parent, will need to make an appointment with Mrs. Gladden or Dr. Morris to come to the high school to fill out and sign your part of the form before it can be released.
- Reminder: once the form is dated, it will expire after 30 days.
As always, thank you for partnering with us to ensure a successful school year.
