FUN Run! (Formerly Known as Run for the Arts)
Hooray!
Beagles just reached our half way fundraising goal of $10,000, which means we will celebrate with an all-school pajama and stuffie day on Tuesday, May 20th!
Who’s ready for a weekend challenge?! 🙋🏻♀️
Help us reach our $20,000 for grade level artists in residences workshops, art supplies, PE, music materials, library books and technology, and all school arts assemblies!
1. SIGN UP your student(s) on MyBooster.com today.
2. SHARE with your family/friends using the SHARE tools on MyBooster.com.
3. GIVE a donation.
This year, we used Fun Run funding to support the Oregon Ballet Theater artist in residence workshop at KG, paper mâché masks workshop at 2nd grade, shadow puppet workshops at 3rd and 4th, and Nomadic Theater Company at 5th grade. Fun Run funding also supported the Imago Theater all-school assembly.
Next year, we will also fund music materials, art supplies, PE equipment such as small parachutes, and library books in addition to grade level artist in residencies.
Reminder: Our big Bridlemile Fun Run is coming up on 05/21/2025! We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Families are welcome to attend the big day to cheer on kiddos. Check in at the office, grab some pom and poms, and meet us at the lower field. Thank you again for supporting our school! Let's make this weekend a huge success!
From P.E.
“Take me out to the ball game!” Yes, It’s that time of year. Next week students will begin participating in some baseball/softball activities. We’ll get lots of practice throwing, catching and hitting! Students will love working together in small groups and rotating through different positions as they play "Home Run Derby"!
The Fun Run is Almost Here! We’re just two weeks away from our Fun Run on Wednesday, May 21st! We can’t wait to see our students shine and our community come together for a day of fun, fitness, and school spirit!
Friday, June 6th is our Bridlemile Field Day! Field day gives kids the chance to celebrate the school year coming to an end, show some class pride and spend a day being active.

From the Library
The End of the Year is Near!
As we head into the final weeks of school, the library is preparing for summer—and we need your help! Students final checkout is next week and all library books must be returned by May 30th. Returning books on time helps us spend our budget on new and exciting books instead of replacing lost ones.
Not sure where that missing book went? Try checking under beds, in closets, backpacks, cars, and even between couch cushions—books have a way of hiding in the funniest places!
Here’s what students have been exploring in the library this spring:
📚 5th grade is learning to identify and use primary and secondary sources, becoming critical thinkers and young historians.
🎥 4th grade is creating video book commercials using a green screen to share their favorite reads.
🌎 3rd grade is discovering the parts of a map and how to read them—great skills for future explorers!
✍🏻 2nd grade is playing with alliteration in poetry, crafting fun and creative verses.
🎵 Kindergarten and 1st grade have been working on rhyming webs, learning how words connect through sound and rhythm.
A huge thank you to our incredible library volunteers who’ve helped make this year a success—we couldn’t have done it without you!
Lost and Found
Please come check out the Lost and Found collection. We have been bringing Lost and Found to the cafeteria during lunchtime in hopes students recognize their clothing. Nope!
We will be donating all unclaimed Lost and Found items to the PPS Clothing Closet at the end of the school year.

School Supplies for 2025-26
As we celebrate all our achievements this year, we are getting ready and looking towards plans for next year.
This year was the first year Bridlemile tried purchasing school supplies in bulk, and it was a success! We plan to continue this going forward.
Bridlemile school will purchase school supplies in bulk for all our K-5 students. This ensures that students have all the needed materials that the homeroom teacher has requested and that each student has the same items. This will also reduce the cost of supplies for families.
Please consider making a $35 contribution per student in your family in order to offset the cost of these supplies.
If this contribution request would cause a hardship for your family, please note that payment is not required in order for your student(s) to receive supplies. All Bridlemile students will receive school supplies.
You are welcome to contribute the amount that your family is comfortable with or even consider contributing an additional amount on behalf of another student. All contributions will be used to pay for classroom supplies and may include paying for substitutes, additional supplies, and curriculum materials.
You will receive a tax-deductible receipt with your donation.
Thank you for contributing!
