Dress Like Rock Star on Wednesday, April 9th!
Embrace your inner rock star as we celebrate the academic growth of our Roadrunners! Let's rally together to foster a motivated and positive mindset for our upcoming CAASPP test and end-of-year assessments.
California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
Attention Reese Roadrunner Families in Grades 3-6!
Our students will be participating in the statewide California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) from April 14th-25th.
Parents, you can play a vital role in supporting your child during this testing period. Here are some tips to ensure they are well-prepared:
*Encourage Effort: Remind your child to do their best on the test and to work through each question thoughtfully. The test is untimed, allowing students to take breaks and work at their own pace.
*Ensure Rest: A good night’s sleep is essential—aim for 9-12 hours for your child to help them perform at their best.
*Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Begin each day with a nutritious breakfast. Don’t forget that Reese offers free breakfast for all students every day from 7:40 AM to 8:05 AM.
On test days, we will provide snacks sourced from our LUSD Nutrition Services, ensuring they are nutritious and peanut-free. If your child has a food allergy, you're welcome to send a safe snack from home.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our Roadrunners shine during the CAASPP!

Middle School Course Catalog
English:
Lodi USD has released a new Middle School Course Catalog! It includes information about core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, and foreign languages (available at select sites). Please note that elective offerings vary by school, and site staff will provide additional details. The catalog also includes information about A-G requirements to help families understand college and career readiness. While the College/Career Indicator (CCI) and Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways are part of high school, middle school is a great time to start thinking about future opportunities.

Life Skill of the Month
Cooperation: When you cooperate, you and your friends or classmates are trying to do something as a team, rather than each person working alone. You're all aiming for the same thing, like playing a game, cleaning your classroom, or building a puzzle.
Positive Behavior Intervention Focus of the Week
Problem Solving
Arguing and fighting isn’t fun, safe and doesn’t solve the problem. It can actually make the problem worse!
If you are having a disagreement you can…
Take a deep breath
Use your words and keep your hands down. Try to talk it out.
Ask Questions (sometimes people don’t know that they are bothering you).
If that doesn’t work, then…
Walk away and find an adult who can help you.
