Counseling Department Events
Littlestown High School is inviting 10th Grade Girls to attend the 2nd Annual STEAM day on Tuesday, November 14 at the Farm Show Complex, put on by the WTS of Central PA Transportation. This is a day long event that encourages young women to pursue STEAM related careers. Transportation provided by LHS. If you would like to participate, please see Mrs. Poole in the Counseling Department.
UPMC Hanover invites Littlestown High School seniors to participate in a career day at the hospital campus on Wednesday, October 25th. Students will hear from hospital leaders and learn about many types of health care careers — from those that deliver care to patients to those that provide support behind the scenes. If you are interested in joining, please see Mr. Hartlaub in the Counseling Department. Permission forms are due ASAP.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month
The Bullying Prevention Program at LHS kicked off for students during our advisory meeting on September 6. The program is currently in its 6th year. As part of the program, members of the Bullying Prevention Program Team followup on every report of bullying. We document reports, meet with students, and check in a few weeks later to ensure the situations do not reoccur. Since we began the program in 2017, students are consistently reporting that they are experiencing bullying at lower rates each year. Our goal is that 100% of students feel safe from bullying when they come to Littlestown High School.

Fall has officially arrived. During this time of the year the weather can be unpredictable so please be sure that your students are dressing appropriately for the weather. Also, remember that the temperature in the building can be unpredictable as well, so please be sure that your students have water bottles with them so that they can stay hydrated.
Reminder students can not carry any medications with them in school. This includes cough drops and over the counter medications like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, vitamins, or supplements. If your student needs to have medication or needs a cough drop, Tylenol or Ibuprofen, they can visit the health room for these medications.
The health room does not have any allergy/cold medicine. If your child needs allergy/cold medicine please be sure that they are taking it prior to coming to school and that it will last for 8 hours to get the student through the day.
If you have a student that is in 11th grade, please turn in their physical forms to the health office along with an updated immunization form if you have not already done so.
Mobile dentists will be coming to the district the week of November 13th. If you would like for your student to attend the mobile dentist please fill out the form online. Link is attached. https://www.myschooldentist.com/LSLAPA_schsrm
Please be sure that your student(s) are eating breakfast in the morning so that they can have the fuel they need to get through the morning and be ready to learn. Breakfast is free for all students this year in the cafeteria. Please remind students to stop by and grab something to eat.
Have a great Fall!
Thank You
